[Muffet just decides not to ask.]
Hello, dearie. It's understandable to be a bit confused, since we come from so many different worlds. I'm rather surprised we understand each other as much as we do.
As for your list, as far as I'm aware...
[There follows a neat, point-by-point glossary, because Muffet is nothing if not efficient.]
Movie- a method of entertainment in which technology is used to create moving pictures in order to tell a story.
TV series- similar to a movie, but a group of shorter stories instead of one longer one.
Comic book- another method of using pictures to tell a story, but by simply drawing them one after another on paper and then binding them all into a book, instead of making them move.
Hot Topic- I'm not entirely certain about this one, but I believe I recall a human-run store by that name?
goth- A human subculture. As far as I understand, it mostly seems to involve being fond of somewhat morbid topics and aesthetics, wearing the color black, and writing poetry. The poetry may or may not be good, depending on the skill of the person in question.
season- A period of time marked by specific weather conditions, such as colder or warmer temperature, or more frequent rain, as well as other changes in nature. Usually cyclical, conditions associated with one season will give way to the conditions associated with the next in time.
scurvy- A medical condition that can occur in humans as a result of poor nutrition. Certain foods contain a substance known as vitamin C, which is needed to keep humans alive and healthy. If they go too long without ingesting anything that contains it, their health will suffer greatly.
dude- A human slang term. Originally referred only to male humans, has now become a way to refer to any person in a casual and informal manner.
I hope that this helps. Please feel free to ask if there's anything else you'd like to discuss.

thank you
have seen 'comic books' before but they were not called that
are foods that give vitamin c orange ? [ because they have NO IDEA why scurvy, of all things, would come up otherwise. ]

A movie is a person who moves around far too much.
A tv series is a series of trans-dimensional violations; if you have a tv series, you're slated for death in several dimensions for doing terrible things.
A comic book is a book written entirely in comic sans. Comic sans is a way of writing that looks incredibly stupid.
A hot topic is something you talk about. If you talk about it too much, it sets you on fire.
A goth is a bright green moth that sucks your blood.
A season is a type of dirt humans like to put in food.
Scurvy is a way to say "it's curvy" without taking as long to say it
A dude is a person who dresses up in a very fancy fashion.
I hope you found this helpful. =)

Movie - A recording of moving images that tells a story.
TV series - Same as a movie, though the story is broken into smaller episodes.
Comic book - A publication that consists of illustrations in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes.
Hot Topic - Uncertain. Primary known definition is a popular topic of discussion, though there may be others.
Goth - A Human subculture. Also a genre of music and a style of architecture.
Season - A portion of the year characterized by a specific temperature range and weather patterns.
Scurvy - A Human disease resulting from lack of vitamin C.
Dude - A Human slang term. We do not have sufficient data to define it further.

A movie is like...a movie, you know? Moving pictures! Big stories with like, explosions and romance and all that good stuff! We don't have any way to watch them here.
Same with TV series, just on a smaller scale. Comic books are just picture books. A lot of them are about superheroes?
Hot topic is a store but it's also like WHAT'S REALLY PRESSING ATM you know? Like the Storyteller is a pretty hot topic around here because what's even up with them all the time?
Goths are people who wear too much black.
A season is like, fall and winter? When the weather changes.
Scurvy is a disease people get when they don't eat right and it's really awful so please don't get scurvy.
Dude is what you call people! Really useful if you don't know their name because it's not as rude as admitting you forgot their name.

[The message goes unsigned but the Guardian figures this answers one of their questions.]

words/symbols for seasons ?
[ They know seasons, yes, by the change in temperature and weather and landscape. But different communities ascribed different sorts of symbols to them, different words, though descriptions were consistent.
Life is hard when you're used to interpreting a variety of symbols rather than shorthand, to be brief. The language the Knight uses now, the one that unifies people here, is sometimes hard to translate. ]

CW race mention, conspiracy theories
Movie - A form of escapism used to occupy the attention, frequently a form of fiction. Popular for their ability to distract the viewer from reality or uncomfortable truth while purporting to reflect some essential part of the human experience. A means of mass deception and self-soothing in a state of denial. Uncritically accepted and in fact celebrated by society at large.
TV Series - The same as a movie, but produced episodically, so as to keep the attention occupied over longer periods of time.
Comic Book - A compilation of pictures and text, broken into panels and meant to communicate a story. Almost invariably fiction, and used (again) to distract from reality.
Hot Topic - The latest buzz, proverbially speaking. What people are talking about the most, generally a form of distraction from bigger and more important subjects or realities. Recent movies and TV series can be hot topics, for example.
Goth - A religion founded in the 1950's by literary great Flannery O'Connor. It involves wearing a lot of black and sometimes very heavy makeup.
Season - Something you do to food to impart flavour. Generally involves small pieces of plant matter. Ask Muffet?
Scurvy - A disease you get on boats. It causes all your old wounds to reopen and bleed anew, even those that scarred over years ago.
Dude - How white people address you when they want to sound younger or cooler or more socially adept than they actually are. Don't waste your time on people who use this word.

because, like, it is definitely an important topic of discussion but also it's a store and when that's listed in close proximity to goth, it makes me think of the clothing store with a specific style of clothing

'a hot topic'
but it can be either ? [ Capital letters usually mean a place or name of some sort, so this is useful to differentiate whether the...topic is hot, or it's..Hot Topic. ]
it is for clothing ? goth clothing ?
must be for non bugs /humans ?
bugs do not need clothing
[ the Knight still doesn't know if 'human' is the right word for all these strange non-bugs but THEY'RE DOING THEIR BEST. ]

Television is the same kind of moving picture, but sent to your own home. Also shows sports and games and real news stories. And the weather.
Comic books are picture books either telling a superhero story or setting up a dumb joke. A lot of dumb jokes.
Seasons are spring, summer, fall, winter.
Scurvy is what happens to you when you don't eat enough fruit.
Dude means person. It's slang!
Can't help you with the rest. Sorry.

movie - a kind of story you watch. most of the time it's just full of lies for gullible morons. some are ok though.
tv series - the same thing.
comic book - that's the same thing too.
hot topic - ?? some american clothing store. annoying kids go there.
goth - [this actually is illegible, just a series of words that have been scribbled out.]
season - there's four in the year. it's just weather. summer's painfully hot, winter is too damn cold. i don't really care about the other two. it only feels like summer here anyway.
scurvy - if you eat fruit like a normal person, don't worry about this one. it's a disease for dumbasses.
dude - some english word. don't bother using it unless you're an american or a natural party peep. you'll just come off as a loser.

what are dumbasses ? people who do not eat fruit ?
and what is a peep ?

Movies and TV shows are like pictures that tell stories
except they have sounds and move too. Movies are one big
long story you go to a theater to watch and TV is a bunch
of small stories you watch at home. Comic books are TV
shows in books without the sound and some people get
really angry about them I guess? I don't know hot topic
but people talk about hot gossip on twitter I think so
maybe it's like that? Goth is when you wear a lot of black
and likes skulls I like how those people dress. Seasons
are when the weather is different for a long time and
it goes in a cycle every year. Scurvy is something sailors
yell about in pirate stories? And dude is just something
you can call people but it kind of also means a man too
so girls get mad if you call them that sometimes.

Movies are moving pictures on screens with sound and they're awesome.
Comic books are for stories, too, but it's like pictures on a page. People draw a bunch of pics and write text and tell super cool stories about things like super heroes or assassins.
Hot topic is a popular topic I guess.
Goth is like people who dress in all black and are emo or something but I guess that's sort of a stereotype. I guess a lot of people consider it a fashion style, too. Or like, architecture.
Seasons are things like summer and winter. It's just times of the year!
Scurvy is a pirate thing, isn't it? Like some sort of disease pirates get 'cause they don't eat enough oranges.
Hope that helps dude.
