[ Neat, orderly writing is chalked down on the board. It appears to be...a list of words, though there is some explanation given to their context. ]

- Knight

CW race mention, conspiracy theories
Movie - A form of escapism used to occupy the attention, frequently a form of fiction. Popular for their ability to distract the viewer from reality or uncomfortable truth while purporting to reflect some essential part of the human experience. A means of mass deception and self-soothing in a state of denial. Uncritically accepted and in fact celebrated by society at large.
TV Series - The same as a movie, but produced episodically, so as to keep the attention occupied over longer periods of time.
Comic Book - A compilation of pictures and text, broken into panels and meant to communicate a story. Almost invariably fiction, and used (again) to distract from reality.
Hot Topic - The latest buzz, proverbially speaking. What people are talking about the most, generally a form of distraction from bigger and more important subjects or realities. Recent movies and TV series can be hot topics, for example.
Goth - A religion founded in the 1950's by literary great Flannery O'Connor. It involves wearing a lot of black and sometimes very heavy makeup.
Season - Something you do to food to impart flavour. Generally involves small pieces of plant matter. Ask Muffet?
Scurvy - A disease you get on boats. It causes all your old wounds to reopen and bleed anew, even those that scarred over years ago.
Dude - How white people address you when they want to sound younger or cooler or more socially adept than they actually are. Don't waste your time on people who use this word.

But, uh... ]
do you not like most of these things
reads like you do not
[ It's an entirely nonjudgemental observation but like
are you like
okay, Foster, ]

It translates approximately to "presumptuous of you to assume that Foster has ever been okay in his god dang life."]
Would you?
no subject
yes
many are new
want to experience new things

Which is why the Knight gets a question that is absolutely not ominous at all.]
Good AND Bad?
no subject
if good enjoy it
if bad learn from it
cannot predict for sure ahead of time
what it will be
must accept it as it comes
[ Trying to discern it too much ahead of time falls into predicting the future, and down that road madness lies.
It's a very short road and a slippery slope that leads to no cost too great. No, they're not bitter. ]

He writes two sentences, one nested against the other in a strangely disconnected fashion. ]
The means of control is in chaos.
You can control only your self.
no subject
yes
?
[ They.....have no idea how to answer this. ]
self is not chaos though

You don't need it.
[Foster can't remember how this conversation started. But here they are. Somehow.]

[ ANOTHER NEW WORD. Connor just keeps teaching them new words, it's great!! ]

[He's . . . vaguely correct. Very vaguely.]

that sounds strange
why do 'amish' do this to children
is fun illegal in their society

[He writes that part under the Knight's text, and under Connor's (now that he definitely knows it's Connor)--]
That definition would imply mine went as intended.
Except I'm not [this was probably a swear word before it got smudged, maybe on purpose?] Amish.

ps: goth isnt a religion youre looking for satanism or wicca

[Connor, did you somehow get the impression Foster thought people liked him? How.
Anyway, there is a whole BUNCH of nonsensical smearing after that. Some of the words are probably still visible if Connor really wants to read what Foster thinks of his own personality, but all that's left are a few words like 'inhuman' and 'trash' and 'truth' and 'vile' and so on, and you really have to squint for them because he realised it's not really related to the conversation and did his (reluctant, hurried) best to erase it.
Score one (1) point for actual contextual awareness, minus one point for belated contextual awareness. Hold at zero because he kinda sucks at erasing.]
