[ Neat, orderly writing is chalked down on the board. It appears to be...a list of words, though there is some explanation given to their context. ]

[He is both equipped to answer this question and the last person that should be asked that question.]

Different kinds of sexualities. You know, who or what you're attracted to? For getting down.

[He's going to try to answer this as thoroughly as possible because, you know - there are aliens out there! Maybe they have different concepts for things!]

Gay is slang for homosexual, which is liking people who are the same gender or sex or w/e you want to call it as you. Bi is short for bisexual and it means you like same as you or different from you.

Like, I'm bi and some people here are gay but I won't say who because it's still rude and tacky to just out people even if people don't super care about it anymore.

There's more terms like pan and ace - pan is basically the same as bi and ace is like, you don't care about it at all and don't want to deal with people?

It happens. There's all sorts of different people and cultures here so you never know what words translate or that exist at all.

But I'm happy to help! I'm basically an expert on cross-species infosharing.

[He's not, but they don't know that.]

All the time! Back home we ran into all sorts of aliens and it was our duty to help bridge the gap between human and not-human.

I lived in space. On a ship, really, but out there in the stars. It was pretty far from here, and I don't know what space would be like here, if there's even a way to explore it.

[Technically those things things are correct - and Lance's description, if you could call it that, is probably...not helping.]
