[ Neat, orderly writing is chalked down on the board. It appears to be...a list of words, though there is some explanation given to their context. ]

Not really. Lots of superheroes are gay or bi or don't care about dating at all but it's like, a thing? That the heroes get happy endings and a lot of those happy endings involve romance.
Unless you're doing a gritty reboot.

However, they don't know the actual specific words, so guess who gets to field that question. ]
gay / bi is ?

Different kinds of sexualities. You know, who or what you're attracted to? For getting down.
[He's going to try to answer this as thoroughly as possible because, you know - there are aliens out there! Maybe they have different concepts for things!]
Gay is slang for homosexual, which is liking people who are the same gender or sex or w/e you want to call it as you. Bi is short for bisexual and it means you like same as you or different from you.
Like, I'm bi and some people here are gay but I won't say who because it's still rude and tacky to just out people even if people don't super care about it anymore.
There's more terms like pan and ace - pan is basically the same as bi and ace is like, you don't care about it at all and don't want to deal with people?

oh so liking same gender or more than one gender
have seen before many times
did not know others had those words for it but now i do [ There were words for it at home, of course. Just not the same ones.
And seeing as this doesn't feel quite adequate for the fairly detailed explanation they received: ]
thank you for detailed answer :)
was very helpful
learning new words about old concepts

But I'm happy to help! I'm basically an expert on cross-species infosharing.
[He's not, but they don't know that.]

did you make many journeys to space ? is it far ?
[ They have only a vague understanding of what 'space' is, but by god, they are trying. It's a faraway place that's not the sky, the sea, or the land! Which is, to their credit...technically true. ]

[Technically those things things are correct - and Lance's description, if you could call it that, is probably...not helping.]
