OTA - Just some random time around now - These Thins Aren't Quite as Nice as Cell Phones
Hey, anyone feel like talking into a rock is the start of some sort of prank?

Wizards? That's so weird to think. I mean, we have magic, but wizards seems like such a video game or story thing! What kind of magic do you do?

Is it really so strange? Though I shall not make assumptions of whence you came from, I do believe that those who hail from worlds without "celluar phones" would think the same, were they to witness us talking into bricks of plastic and glass. It is important to approach life with an open mind, and appreciate the blessings received. Indeed, with this, the bonds of our small community shall strengthen, and with it, a stronger potential to thrive.

[Wait, he's probably sounding like a geek to whoever this girl is, isn't he?]
I mean, uh... Technology is just my thing, you know? It's kinda hard to go backwards when you're used to a cell. ...And kinda weird talking into a rock in general. Like one of those crystal balls or something that you see in fantasy movies, ha ha...

Fufu... Truly, it is ceaselessly marvelous to see others so passionately interested in something. I confess that things such as "television games" still perplex me, even now, but I understand why people take interest in it.
[The way she tried to pronounce the modern term is both inaccurate and stilted, as if she were an old person trying to figure out newfangled gadgets.]
To compare concepts like magic and technology, however... One cannot truly say that they are either forward or backward from each other, can they? It is more that they are parallel with one another, yes?

[Like a date! ...He hadn't even seen this girl.]
Ah, yeah, magic is a lot different. Mostly for making things explode and stuff. It's cool, I just hate when Noct hits us with an ice spell and then my feet are frozen in the water. Friendly fire sucks.
[And that was mostly his concept of magic. Big explosions and lightning.]

[What else are you supposed to say when the mysterious rock in your backpack asks if something is the start of a prank???]

[A soft laugh.]
Or really, more stuff that's not seafood.

[Someone is thinking with his stomach.]
Think of all the ingredients we could have gathered. After some of our last encounters with civilization, I just... wasn't looking to meet new people.

And not at a girl!

You should talk to a girl before trying to hurt her! Even if they're with the bad guys, they might turn out to be cool.

Well, I believe humans have this phrase- "if it's stupid but it works, then it isn't stupid".
no subject
Hey, is this Muffet?
[Considering she said 'humans' and the voice sounded familiar.]
no subject
[She smiles, pleased by the recognition.]
Yes, I am. And I'm assuming from the voice that I'm speaking to Prompto, correct? I admit, it might be easier if these came with some sort of caller ID, but people seem to be muddling through thus far.

Heh, yeah, this does feel a bit like being back in the stone age.
[See what he did there?! She would have no idea how clever he felt in that moment.]
Maybe someone can make a wish for touch screens.
