OTA - Just some random time around now - These Thins Aren't Quite as Nice as Cell Phones
Hey, anyone feel like talking into a rock is the start of some sort of prank?
[OOC: Just assume this is posted at a convenient time around event stuff.]

Yes, because having a conversation with someone trying to kill you is always the best strategy for not dying.

[So, not too bad, and he hadn't thought that deeply about problems the inequality might cause in such a society. He was basically a tourist.]
Oh, wait, so, like an enemy soldier or something? Or... some kind of, serial killer?
[He still sounded a bit hesitant about hitting a girl but he was trying to be reasonable.]
no subject
[That might help him narrow it down. It's not like he knows all of the cities within his system.]
An assassin would be most common, but other females could fall into the same category.
[Primarily his grandmother. This guy might have a heart attack if he knew what Jullien would do to her.]
no subject
[Was this even helping? He had no idea if anyone he didn't know would know his planet. It was weird to even think of it as just one random world in many.]
I guess you might not have a choice but to fight then... Thankfully we never really had to fight much girls, 'sides Aranea, I guess.
[Dude, don't hurt grandmas!!]

[Though Eos rings a bell for some odd reason. He's not sure why.]
Generally you kill them before they have a chance to fight. Be glad you've never had to worry about it.
[Dude, his grandmother is the queen bitchtress herself and has not only caused the near complete genocide of two Andarion races but also put out a Thrill Kill warrant on her own grandson with a bounty high enough to entice anyone to go after him. And that doesn't even scratch the surface.]

[A certain amount of respect with that one.]
I am. The Kingsglaive and stuff had women in them, and there's hunters who are women, but I think the entire Empire's army is pretty much dudes.
[Of course, now he knew why that was and it wasn't pretty.]
...I mean, they were... were kinda like robots almost?
[But grandma's come with homemade pies! He heard so!]
no subject
[Maybe he's from a planet nearby or something.]
An army of robots? Stupid way to make an army if you ask me.
[His grandmother didn't come with gifts of pies for him. She gave him his own personal underground cell in a prison full of the worst adult criminals that happily helped her torture or re-educate him.]

Yeah, umm... It was a pretty creepy way to do things. Kinda sad, too. Bringing them to life just so they can get killed.
[He had thoughts on this, but best not to get too deep into them.]
Guess there was nothing like that where you're from?
no subject
More stupid. Way to easy for someone to hack your entire army and turn them against you. Too bad Kyr isn't that stupid.
There are a few mechas where I'm from, but much better uses for technology really.
no subject
[This was awkward. Hopefully he didn't ask too many questions.]
At least you had technology. Some people here didn't have any!
no subject
[Doesn't matter how strong the defenses are for Jullien.]
Then at least they aren't missing anything.
no subject
[He was more tech savvy than a hacker, but he would've learned if it meant they could do something about the MTs.]
Not missing anything? They never got to play King's Knight or go to an arcade!
no subject
[He has no idea what that is, though the word base might give him an idea. Still, there's nothing like that that really exists where he's from.]
And they're probably more functional here than the rest of us.

When the sun exploded or whatever, and it was night for a really long time... That was a lot like what the daemons were like back home.
I think we've done pretty good here! If we weren't being interrupted all the time we could probably have some pretty decent buildings sort of made.
no subject
[Prompto would probably kill him if he realized Jules was referring to his grandmother.]
I come from a place where I travel through space for a living and don't even live on a damn planet. Buildings don't mean much to me.

What's the League? Sounds like a sports thing, but sports aren't usually about capturing people.

It's a ruling body in my system that's purpose is supposed to be to keep the rulers of each planet from behaving badly. They're supposed to protect the people and perform needed assassinations. Now they're basically a corrupt force worse than most of the rulers. Their high commander doesn't like me very much. Go figure.
no subject
'Performing needed assassinations' sounds kinda corrupt to begin with. It's better to just have a ruling family that's cool!
[No bias there.]
no subject
No shit that would be better, but life doesn't work that way. There's no guarantee you're going to get a good ruler, or a good ruler's child will end up being a good ruler too. Someone needs to stop genocidal maniacs who rule countries or hold a lot of political power. As long as there is indisputable proof that someone is committing serious crimes that threaten lives, the League has the right to remove that person to protect others. At least that was their original job.

Sounds Empire-trying-to-take-over-the-world-like. I guess we got pretty lucky. King Regis was a good guy, and [little awkward saying it like this] his son is, too. Although I guess there were still people out there who had their complaints about him...
Seems like any large power can be corrupted, though. Even gods.
no subject
Definitely consider yourself lucky. Most rulers where I'm from treat their people decently, at least by their standards. Some of them are even tolerant to other races. Still, throughout the United Systems I know of at least 2 major rebellions, and that's just on the planets I know a lot about. Pretty sure one of them has been resolved.
