[Tim feels like he kinda arrived here used to it, but Tim is an outlier adn should not be counted. Considering this is his second stop as opposed to his first, it only makes sense.]

[And Tim prefers to keep his head down, and not mingle with the deities.]

[ He hasn't had any meetings with them yet. He does, in the future, but with different intentions, but the interesting thing is that he doesn't exactly hear bad things about the Storyteller, more like vague bitterness, lacking in sting when you consider their situation, stuck in these islands and such. Doing their own run of Fantasy Lost.]

[He only vaguely interacted with Ozuma, and usually it was in the same vein as how he interacts with the Storyteller now: purely out of necessity, and only when something is absolutely required. There are plenty of people to spew their righteous fury and philosophizing at them. They don't need him pitching in.]

[ Magnus has spoken to gods...well, one of them got his attention specifically. He's spoken with things bigger than gods. But that's not something he really thinks about telling people.]
A friend of mine, she huh...she told me some stuff about them, y' know? About it being complicated and stuff. They sound kinda less like a god, and more like...I don't know, a really really really powerful magic person or something.

[Tim is not up to snuff on his dnd lingo ok]
I mean..,no one else can bring people back after they die or get the stuff we ask for.

[ Specificity is important, I guess?]

[He's not gonna rule it out, he guesses. These people probably know way more about the intricacies of gods and magical creatures than Tim himself does. He'll easily defer to what he's assuming is really clearly superior knowledge.]
Guess it might explain why they're not, y'know, all-knowing or anything.

Yeah, probably? I dunno. Maybe there's just kind of in charge of how this place works and stuff.
But, I mean, I've seen gods not be able to do jack-diddly-squat over some stuff either, so I don't know. I guess there's always just something bigger, you know?
[ It'd probably be easier to understand what the hell he's talking about if he contextualized, but this is Magnus.]

[He heralds from the land of Alabama, where there’s apparently only one god, and it’s a god who would have wanted everyone to keep their assault rifles in every McDonald’s down the highway. Depending on who you ask.]
Not really sure it matters what they are.

[ Magnus has never been much of a devout person either, though he's technically a field agent for a literal goddess. That's a story he can maybe tell Tim some other time.]
Anyway, I think we can handle our shit here anyway.
[ You know, people who aren't nerfed right to hell, anyway. ]

[He's not nearly so optimistic, but there aren't a lotta options in terms of how else to deal, here. Work on surviving and getting by, or lie down and just let it all happen. The latter is still far more tempting.]
Anyway, thanks for the help, I guess. You can borrow whatever if you do some chipping in.

[Personally, Tim's not nearly as optimistic, but that's just his nature. Somewhere along the line, a generally applied cynicism became safer than daring to hope. That way you're always prepared for the worst, and you're never disappointed.]
