We’ve been through some nonsense.

How about a community gathering next month? We could do with one to keep the morale up. Roast venison, a campfire, perhaps some shenanigans. After Storytelling might be best, in the event something happens on the next island.

[Full disclosure: Laurent’s fiance’s birthday is next month, on the 25th. That’s why he’s suggesting this. But listen, no one has to know it’s a secret birthday party, there’ll be food and maybe games and everyone will benefit anyway.

Plus, he’s willing to provide some lucrative party favours:]

I don't trust our ability to be orderly in enclosed spaces, it would probably be out in the open. But we could borrow the kitchens for food.

Oh, I meant the cooks. They'd probably want to know if all their meat gets appropriated for a party.

Ideally some of them might help with the catering, which would settle the logistics and my inability to make much out of meat.
