[Stones of Farspeech] A Request or Two

I realize most of you are busy with the new island, but if I can, I'd like to borrow a moment of your time. This shouldn't interfere with new explorations, fortunately. It's actually rather dependent on them.

[Ignis has been very absent since Gladio was sent home last month. Even now, it's hard for him to reach out and exploring in this mindset is not the best of ideas, but he also can't allow himself to idle any longer.]

Shion and I have been discussing the creation of a list of questions we can ask each new deity we run across so we can compare answers to look for patterns and other things that may help us begin sorting out the greater mystery of this place as we learn about each island we come across. There are obvious general questions we can ask, but we wanted to see if there were any more specific ones people would like added to the list. If you have anything, can you let me know? Your help is most appreciated.

[There is a momentary pause where the only sound is Ignis softly drawing a deep breath as he steels himself for the next topic.]

For those who aren't aware, Gladio has been returned to Eos. Prompto and I are going to do our bests to keep the lighthouse workshop stocked and in good shape. We're also going to try and keep his projects on the farming islet going since they are of benefit to us all. We could use some help, though, if anyone can volunteer.

Also, if you were working on a project with him, can you let either Prompto or myself know? We don't want any of those to fall by the wayside.

[His voice gets a little softer as he finishes the communication.]

Gladio wouldn't want that either and I want to do this for him.

I wish you luck. If you end up needing a specific tool that seems like it should be there but isn't, let me know. It's possible it was brought to the cottage or the lighthouse workshop for a project and then just didn't make its way back. The workshop is over by the other mana pool on the islet if you ever wish to work on something there.

[There is a moment of silence and then he happily returns the introduction.]

I really do appreciate it. Is there anything in particular that you're in need of?

That was not one of this place's kinder events.

[It wasn't 'flowers of choking death,' but it was still plenty painful. Not something he would wish anyone to have to deal with so soon after arriving.

Ignis ponders the question for a few moments before answering.]

This may be work far below your skill level, but do you think you could forge a few throwing daggers? I would be willing to repay your time and effort, of course.

That should be fine, of course. Don't worry about boring me, that's nearly impossible nowadays.

[He does sound pleased with it; he is so goddamn relieved to have something to do here, Ignis, you have no idea.]

[A small, knowing smile crosses Ignis' face. Yes, he knows that feeling. It can be very hard to find where you fit in when you are dropped so suddenly into a new place. It'd been doubly hard on him thanks to his newly acquired blindness.]

I can bring you the one I have left if you would like to use it as a model. I'm afraid I lost its mate a few months after I arrived.

[Actually, he gave it to someone who was then sent home, but details.]

[He's used to being in a position that requires him to do Goddamn Everything; there's comparatively little to do here? It's been weirding him right out.]

That would be greatly appreciated, yes.

[Gladio had a very similar issue when he arrived. Being pulled from the middle of life or death battle doesn't make for a smooth transition into so much peace.]
