12/4 - Evening

[A lot of you will recognize Gladio's voice, it's hard to miss and he's certainly loud enough at the parties. And as the first day of chaos begins to wind down with no sign of stopping things become much more dire, in Gladio's opinion. A certain Shield doesn't trust the Night. Surprise surprise.]

GUYS we're not going to be able to keep this up through the night, scattered like this. We need a place to regroup! If you're on the main island, Denny's the most defensible. If not... The light house on the farming island. If you can't defend yourself or just need a break, get there. Noct? You better have your ass in that building by sun down or so help me-

We need to stop these things from attacking the flocks. We just got all this shit from Harv we can't afford to let it all get eaten or washed out to sea now. Strength in numbers, right?

[It felt so familiar, like giving orders to the Glaives when he'd been helping Cor and Libertus over the years. Clear decisive action so those that are less experienced and scared have someone to look to. There's a moment where he abruptly wonders if this is why they made him king in the end. But this isn't Lucis, this isn't Insomnia. This place is far wilder than that-]

[Gladio's alright, that's a relief.] I'm on Enso, I'm making my way to Denny. I can help anyone who is injured. I'll grab anyone who doesn't know how to get there on the way.

Keep an eye out, Prompto and Noct should be headed that way too.

Shit! Cobweb with you? [He's just going to collect all the pets now, don't mind him.]

Yeah he is, he's alright.

[There had been a frightening moment where he had gotten trapped but he's safe now. He sounds worried though.]

Excalibur and Thalassa are still in our hut though, or at least I hope they are... Both me and Aster are stuck over here.

Excalibur and Thalassa? What am I lookin for? I'll get them to the lighthouse with the rest of the animals. Gotta get the birds over there anyway.

[He hasn't met the rest of your pets, Shion.]

Thalassa's a cat and Excalibur's a dreameater... He's... Like a mix between a dog and a cat sort of. He's blue. [He stands out at least?]

Cat and sorta cat, got it.

I'll see if I can't get them smuggled over to the lighthouse. If anything's going to have a chance at staying safe on their own, though, it'll be a cat.

Yes and they both survived the tower, so they should be fine, I'm just worried they will try and fight.

Might be safer for them just making sure they can't get out.

Perhaps. [It was a good job their house had a roof and a door now. Harv's improvements had happened in good time.]

[Gladio takes the lull to focus on what he's doing again and it's a good hour or so before he calls Shion back.]

Barricaded the door to your place. Cat's stealthy as hell, saw an eye shine once but that's all. Excalibur was not goin' anywhere with this weird giant. [A soft huff of laughter.]

But they're not getting out and nothing should be able to get in without a helluva lot of effort. There's much bigger and easier targets available.

[He is at Denny by that time but he answers his stone call quickly, he's been worried though he's been throwing himself into working to try and help people.]

Thank you. [Good to know that they hadn't lost any of their instincts. Though was that a good thing? He supposed it was. Here was not safe.] It's a relief to know they are at least in one place.

They should be just fine. Got plenty of these assholes comin after the livestock, I doubt anyone's gonna break off to try to hunt down a couple cats.

[If nothing else they'll be safe for tonight. Gladio will be keeping these beasties busy as long as possible.]
