That is very true. It makes you wonder why so many people make a fuss about it.

who knows? maybe they think they're that important. or just want a day where they can feel like they are without feeling guilty.

everyone grows up thinking they're special for some reason. when you're older, though, you realize that you're not any better than everyone else. that's why it's fine if kids get excited about birthdays, but adults getting worked up over it is kind of sad.

If you think about it, it makes sense to be worked up though. It's a reminder that every year we are another step closer to death.

that's true. dying is something everyone does too, though. if someone can't accept something as simple as that, it's no wonder they're so self-centered.
