need a favor

Hey, so, I need a favor or a few. Whether you're going to fight to defend the sun or not. It would be a good idea to pool favors together for first aid kits and better light sources.

With enough favors, we can get enough and have some to spare. I'm aiming to get as much supplies as I can so count me all in. - Keith

No. You could just go to the temple.

Getting supplies is just to prepare. We don't know exactly what is going to happen.

I meant, in general. Is the sun really being attacked and killed? Or is this just an I terpretation of the shortest days of a year? Is it really the sun that is in danger or is it us because of the darkness?

I think it would be wise to gather food, as much as we can. I am capable of hunting, and I know of a few edible plants. Would that help you feel more prepared, as well?

I don't have any favors, as I just arrived. But I did arrive with some supplies to make potions. Alchemy is my specialty, and I can create potions that can protect from the cold as well as cast light... but my means are limited.

If others are willing to ask for supplies, I can make more. I can also make mixtures for battle and healing- I intend to make some for myself at least.

How much time do you need to make your potions?

As long as there's no distractions a single dose takes mere moments. But I can only do one at a time, so stockpiling could take a few hours. We have time to prepare, so as long as I have a day's warning it should be doable.

Light sources - preferred anything we don't have to constantly refuel but a mix wouldn't hurt.

I'd like the list, if you don't mind. I want to be as accurate as possible - a lot of your worlds have wayyy more advanced technology than I'm familiar with.

I'll contribute two favors to start with- I have others, but I want to reserve at least one or two for now in case something important we haven't already thought of comes up. If you go to the Storyteller and you still don't have enough, let me know and I'll offer the rest of them, too.

Good idea. I don't think we'll have a problem of too few favors,
a lot of people have been chipping in a few or more. We're up to favors from five people and one from someone who hasn't put it up on here.

Ingway mentioned they can make potions. Healing, light, and handling the cold. Wait. How many people have cold weather gear?

I'm glad to hear it.

Potions would be good, especially if they were willing to add a few to the stockpile we're attempting to make in the Storyteller's temple. As for warm clothing, I suspect the answer is 'not enough', though Tataru and I have been trying to weave more proper winter wear for people.

The trouble seems to be mostly knowing who needs what and getting it to them.

It's okay. The favors are kind of like a currency to get stuff from Storyteller. You have to tell them stories about your life during an appointed time. It wasn't working quite right last time. Our memories were being played out in full.

Keep your stuff, you're really going to need it soon.

Got some healing supplies from back home.
Could throw in a couple of them if you want.
They're simpler and faster than your normal first aid though I'm not sure they work right yet.
