Multiple corpses of entities from our universe of origin have been deposited on the shores of Enso. They are commonly referred to as Thresher Maws.

They are exceedingly large, difficult to kill, and typically only a few are likely to be found living simultaneously on a planet: we are uncertain as to how this occurrence is possible.

[While Jules certainly wouldn't try to use his mutant Trisani abilities to slip into Legion's systems since they're clearly a sentient being, one who has already passed on - so to speak - seems fair game to Jules.]

...anything we can salvage from them, do you think?

Clarify.

(That he might be asking if they're synthetic doesn't immediately occur to them: they are like a thresher maw in that they can survive environments typical organics cannot and are difficult to kill, and the bodies could definitely be examined. But they know that that is unlikely to be what is meant.)

(They chatter.)

Though they are rotting, it is possible their armored exoskeletons may be of use.

(More importantly.)

Washington-agent, Thresher Maws are capable of surviving environments uninhabitable by other organic life, and are difficult to combat even when armed with tanks, missiles, gunships, similarly powerful equipment and weaponry. We are uncertain what could be capable of this.

A god, maybe? Or a dragon? We know those exist here.

[They're dead, which is the important thing.]

How would you kill them?

What is brought here typically arrives alive.

Possibility of live Thresher Maws is extremely concerning.

Technology or electronically based. At least partially run by some kind of circuitry or motherboard.

[He has to assume that's what Legion's asking at least. And that he didn't say anything that would be offensive.]

Negative. Thresher Maws are wholly organic.

They are near ubiquitous throughout the galaxy, though they are most commonly found on planets and asteroids with minimal atmosphere.

Well, if something killed those, it'll probably get the other ones. Do they normally swim?

(They chatter, considering this.)

Use of remotely operated vehicles to lure it above ground followed by bombardment with explosives from a distance has the lowest risk and highest likeliness of success. Environmental damage is likely to be high.

Shepard-Commander has assisted in killing one on foot, though this was extremely difficult, and should not be taken as an indicator of possible success.

(Shepard-Commander, regardless of their opinion of her otherwise, is basically the most badass human to ever live. Attempting to emulate her is unwise.)

How'd she kill it on foot?

[Sorry, but without any remote-operated vehicles here and not very much in the way of explosives, "on foot" seems to be the only way to reliably get that done.]

They do not. However, they do not require air.

Whatever "got them" is likely more than capable of "getting" us.

[Legion's nickname brings a smile to her face. It's nice that they remembered her and they're still around-too many people are vanishing or forgetting their time here. It's stressful.]

(Not really: bodies are a common thing in their experience. It's the fact that they're Thresher Maws that concerns Legion, because anything that can kill that many Thresher Maws is not anything they want to encounter.)
