Feel free to use this post as an event catch-all for any misfires, island-wide broadcasts, or glitching Stone shenanigans you'd like your characters to get up to! Remember that the Stones of Farspeech do not currently have a texting feature...but that doesn't mean the screen they use to display Caller I.D. can't display text, on occasion. Bear in mind that this screen is small and therefore has limited display options.

......Wait, so that was about Dagger just now?!

[Depends on what context. If it's about insecurities about the class barriers and stuff like that, he'd rather not. If it's about how much he misses her, he'd rather not. But if it's about how beautiful and quick-witted and amazing Dagger is then yes he'd definitely talk about that. In fact, he probably won't shut up.]

[This feels so personal. He struggles with this kind of situation on a good day and with a stranger? But Zidane had sounded so frustrated in that memory. He had to know if he was alright.]

Her name did come up.

[It's not his business. He can make this less awkward if he tries.] Hey, if you want to talk about her. I'll listen. And if you want I'll tell you about my fiance, Shiro.

[Well, he never hid about the fact he liked her. Although he didn’t quite realise how far his feelings for her went. Now he does and that part is a little personal. After all, he still needed to confess to her honestly. And a small fear is worried how she’s going to take it. Although he’ll do it regardless. However, there is some stuff he is willing to tell Keith.]

Well sure, I’ll talk about Dagger, the most gorgeous and amazing girl I’ve ever met! [Hear the cheerful tone? EVERYTHING IS FINE.]

But uh......[Something else Keith said has caught his attention.] you said you were engaged to someone called Shiro, huh? [It could be complete coincidence, but...] Come to think of it, I met a guy here who goes by that name.

[There's a pause then Keith's voice shifts, as deep as before but softer and far less awkward. He can talk about Shiro all day.] Tall, short hair with a tuff at the front, and a baritone voice? Air of a soldier?

We're not formally engaged it's...something we decided on.
[Might as well be formal at this point. They're it for each other.]

Yep. That’s the guy. [Zidane notes the tender tone in Keith’s voice. Keith seems a nice enough guy but pretty serious. This is someone who makes him really happy. Maybe Keith’s place that he calls home is with Shiro. Zidane chuckles. ] Well, whaddaya know? Small world.

Is he from your world or did you guys meet here?

He's from my universe. We've been friends for years. [He sighs, content in a quiet way about the fact Shiro is here.]

It really is a small world. ...you've heard about the way the land is broken up, right?

I see. [And while he'd be really worried if Dagger (or anybody else he knows back home for that matter) came to this world, he can still admit:] I guess it's a huge comfort, having someone you know really well here.

Hmmmm, you said someone broke the world and the gods when we came here. And this is a bunch of islands. I guess it's related to that?

It is. As far as we know it was a someone not a something. But that could be wrong. All we know for sure is the possible clues could be behind barriers that keep Storyteller out.

[And terrible things were under those barriers.]

In what is probably the most terrible areas we’ll ever see.

You mean like that place with the plague that killed some of us, right? [He has heard quite a bit since Keith mentioned them. Granted, the people there apparently didn't find much but...]

Is that the only one you guys found so far?

No. There was a cave before. I came in just as it was ending. [He had seen it in Mu. In the fragmented dreams of that land.]

Umui wasn't restricted. We just went there and didn't realize the dangers until it was too late.

Umui, huh? [Okay, just in case they somehow end up going there again. It was always possible.] I guess I should ask about what dangers those were.

It's a quarantine zone. There's a disease that grows flowers inside the body. Stage two is coughing up flowers. Stage three...it reaches your head then you die. [Fun right?]

Flowers? [Now that Keith mentions it.] Hang on. Hector talked about there once being flowers forcing you guys to talk about your feelings. He wasn’t talking about that, was he? [Because if he was......oh, boy.]
