Feel free to use this post as an event catch-all for any misfires, island-wide broadcasts, or glitching Stone shenanigans you'd like your characters to get up to! Remember that the Stones of Farspeech do not currently have a texting feature...but that doesn't mean the screen they use to display Caller I.D. can't display text, on occasion. Bear in mind that this screen is small and therefore has limited display options.

[Something's wrong, something isn't transmitting properly. But Yukio doesn't know what. He tries again.

But the words and the tone end up being nothing like what he actually said.]

It does, if you're strong enough to deal with it.

That sort of strength... isn't one you get by being alone. You can only get it-- or give it-- to other people.

[Yukio doesn't know what's going through the Stones. He can't hear it. But something's wrong, something's wrong enough that he just wants to stop responding.

There's a burst of static, the sound of metal scratching across the stone. Behind the noise, there's a faded buzz of Yukio's voice, something about understanding and other people and a harsh, near-hysterical laugh.]

...The hell?

The hell is wrong with these damned things... [[the words are quieter, muttered and a touch muffled as if Tachibana is checking the rock for defects. Which he is. NOt like he can see what is wrong because it's just a rock, but damnit, he's still looking.]]

[reflash]

[Finally, something he's actually saying gets through.]

I'm sorry. Something seems to be going wrong with the Stones.

[triggerhappytraitor]

It sounded like you tried to stab the damned thing.

[reflash]

I just scratched it. [He says, before he can think about what he's saying and just deny that anything happened.]

That's not important.

[triggerhappytraitor]

It's a damned rock, what the hell else would you think would happen?

[[Not that he had really meant to say that aloud, but not everything can be flashbacks]]

[Yukio is not going to respond to that comment, and thankfully his rock doesn't broadcast anything else either.]
