Feel free to use this post as an event catch-all for any misfires, island-wide broadcasts, or glitching Stone shenanigans you'd like your characters to get up to! Remember that the Stones of Farspeech do not currently have a texting feature...but that doesn't mean the screen they use to display Caller I.D. can't display text, on occasion. Bear in mind that this screen is small and therefore has limited display options.

[It probably is going to look extremely strange, but Ignis pulls the crystal back to fix it with a strange look, even though he can't see it. He then gives it a shake as if that might do something. When he speaks again, he makes a very conscious efforts to speak as he usually does.]

Am I still doing it now?

No, now it's broken Lucian. What's going on?

Oh, for the love of...

[Ignis sighs, pulling himself to his feet and making his way back to the doorway of the cottage. He slides the crystal into his pocket and calls inside.]

Please tell me I'm speaking normally now.

[Test one. It is really the crystal or him himself who is speaking oddly?]

Sounds fine to me. I wonder if it's the network at fault, then.

It must be, but why would it suddenly be acting up now?

[It's a silly question really. Since when does anything in this place need a reason to act up, but Ignis really isn't sure where else to start trying to figure things out.]

[He laughs, pulling the stone from his pocket again and tossing it in his hand.]

Maybe it's time we find out how well these things swim.

Remote communication surely can't be all that vital. Goodness, one used to get along just fine without it some time ago.

Oh dear, people might even have to resort to writing letters again and dropping them off for others all the way across the island.
