[Well, Zidane had been here for a few weeks so far. No matter what, he was determined to get back home and help the others trapped here, no matter how long it took. And yet occasionally, he'd get a moment where he really missed home and wondered if he really might have to stay here for a while. Still, dwelling on it would not get him home. So for now, he tried to distract himself with what was going on by exploring and helping rebuild from the earthquake. And one day, an idea came to him....]

You know, unless I've missed it, I don't think I've seen a theater in this place. If there is, maybe one of you guys can direct me to it? If not, then we need to fix that! Luckily for you guys, I used to be part of the best performer troupe in all of Gaia! I know all about this kind of stuff.

So how 'bout it, everyone? How about a place where we can put on some plays? Maybe other types of performances too if that's your thing!

[There's a brief pause before Tim finally answers.]

Yeah. There's these caves under Ensō that were...impossible for the Storyteller to enter. They sent us down there without asking. A lot of people died.

[And a horrified voice can be heard from the other end.] What?!

The Storyteller sent people there against their own will? Did they know that would happen?!

No. They didn't. Or they say they didn't.

[He doesn't sound like he trusts or mistrusts them; he just sounds weary. Gods and powerful creatures making calls on the behalf of everyone else? Yeah, that's too familiar for him to find it surprising.]

They haven't forced us to do anything since then, so I guess they learned their lesson.

[Okay it looks like it's a sore spot for them. Zidane decides not to push it for the moment.]

I hope so. I guess there's no way of knowing.

[And he sounds sympathetic.] Thanks for the info. [Might need to find the information elsewhere for the moment.]

[Yeah, no, he sounds skeptical. Don't worry if Tim sounds tired, all right? He's always tired. He never fucking gets any sleep.]

Uh.....no, if I'm honest but I got the impression that you didn't wanna say more about it.

It was over a year ago. I've had time to deal.

[It's not like Tim died. He just watched...some truly horrible things happen to the kids he cared about. Still cares about.]

I was just wondering if there were still traces of the plague and it was still unsafe to explore that place at some point. I'm not sure if you'd know that though.

Haven't seen any since it happened. The caves're flooded last I checked, though, so I'm not sure you even could go down there if you wanted to.

Oh. [He sounds a little disappointed. Him, thinking of putting himself at risk to help the others? Never!]

There really wasn't that much of use down there anyway. Old shit, broken down underground homes...nothing special.

Hmm......that certainly doesn't sound like there was anything of value. [He might tell this to Keith at some point, if Keith hasn't found out already.] Might have to look elsewhere for the moment if I wanna find big clues.

[What scavenger hunt are you looking to do, buddy?]

Just to find out more about this world and how it works, really. [And to find his way back but he's feeling homesick at the moment and doesn't want to bring that up in front of someone he barely knows.]

You talked to the Storyteller yet?

[...not that Tim has actually ever done that, because conversations with the Storyteller tend to be just as frustrating as they are rewarding and enlightening. And he doesn't trust whatever answers they might have to offer anyway.]

Not yet [Things like new island have distracted him] but I intend to. I've been told they might not necessarily have much of an answer but...[Well, it's worth a shot either way.]

Yeah, they're...I dunno, I don't really talk to them. They're kind of bad at giving straight answers.
