Hey there, islands. Happy new year and all that, if that even matters. I mean, the holidays don't seem to matter here but there's a calendar so...?

[There's a pause, and Lance clears his throat.]

Anyways, this isn't about that! Recently I put in a request with the good ol' Storyteller because I was reminded of something from back home and thought, with all the crazy things that happen here, something that's a little more chill and lowkey might be good?

It's this, uh, game? Called Monsters & Mana. It's a little hard to explain and it's super nerdy, but it's pretty fun! You roll dice and pretend to be a character and go on an adventure the Lore Master puts together for you.

I've got a lot of books for it and everything we'd need to play it, but I don't want to just keep it to myself? So if anyone wants to take a look at it or play it just hit me up!

Used to play some RPGs with my friends, but our phones are busted here.

Maybe we could do this instead! I think they'd like it.

It won't hurt to try! I didn't think it was going to be any fun, but...once you get into it, it's pretty great.

I've been missing King's Knight, but there wasn't really anything else like it around.

Just not sure how we'd go about setting up an adventure or anything quite yet. I guess it'd be kinda like level designing.

Yeah, these islands are...kind of lacking in the whole entertainment department.

And I've got some books that are like, pre-made adventures if you want to borrow one of them? It'll take all the hassle out of making it yourself if you want.

I'm gonna talk to them about it tonight. We could see if anyone else wants to join, too. Back home it was usually just the four of us, but there's no reason we couldn't have more here!

[It hadn't really been because they didn't like other people. More because of their positions.]

Maybe we could start some game nights. You know, when things are getting too dark to keep doing work outside, but you don't wanna go to sleep yet.

I think that'd be a great idea - I mean, it'd sure be a boost to morale to have something like that, I think. Having something to do to get our minds of all the everything going on around us, just for a little bit.

Did you have anyone that was going to play? Work out a few details and maybe we could have, like, Sunday Game Night or something.

Whenever Sunday is.

My team would probably all play, and it seems like a lot of people are interested, which is great.

I can check the calendar on the rock and then see when Sunday is so we can get this started.
