On a likely related note. Does anyone else have some kind of marking appear on them recently?
[It's puzzletime, folks. This is a place for everyone to disseminate their Anbaki deets, search results, and maybe come up with a plan of action! (Probably not, though!)

That was the color and shape of my own mark, as well. It simply appeared at some point while I slept, as far as I can tell.

[They are a...very, very light sleeper due to their occupation and wear gloves. So that is the only explanation the Guardian can think of.]
