[stonecast, the info sharening]
[Hey there, Enso, it's ya boy Lance. Or ya stranger Lance, he hasn't exactly been a social butterfly on account of abruptly disappearing.
But, anyways, he is here, on your rock, laying down his dulcet tones because a discover has been made.]
Sooo that new island, right? With all the nothing and the flowers? [You know the one.] Had a little search party and found a letter - or more like a diary page, really? Keith [who you might hear int he background, or you might not, we're doing it live] thinks it's pretty important.
[There's the careful rustle of paper, as Lance doublechecks the scroll.]
Some of the writing at the bottom got damaged, but whoever wrote this was evacuating their home - some place called Tempide - because it was being swallowed by the sea? [Or it was something else that had the side-effect of raising sea levels.] Or collapsing, which they say had happened before.
They ended up at a temple which - might be somewhere on this island? We found this at a dock.
[There's a brief pause, because what do you really...say when you're dealing with something like this?]
There's more, but I don't really know what it means. But somebody else might find something that explains more.

[Just gonna say that all innocent-like, because there’s a special devastation in ‘unintentional’ burns and also he’s on public broadcast.]
We are boasting an unbroken streak of every non-Enso island trying to kill us. [pause.] ….mmm, there was one that wasn’t inherently dangerous, but the ocean around made up for it tenfold, so…. Yes, I’d say everything ever here wants to kill us.
i thought i replied to this like two days ago oh my god,
[He'll forgive you for not knowing what it is this time, even though he really wants to prickle at that burn.
He can deal with it later for the sake of needing to get all of this out.]
Everything being deadly doesn't mean it's intentionally trying to kill us, but you're not the first person to say that. [Gee, wonder why.] Doesn't really seem like there's anything on this island at all, though.

[Semantics is not infallible. The voice over the stones sounds conversational, unruffled by Lance’s rebuttal.]
And why isn’t there anything? There’s no reason why other creatures wouldn’t take over such a nice place- unless, of course, there is a reason.

[Or, if the deadly thing is dumb and doesn't have malicious intent, you can confuse it and runaway. It's a solid strategy!]
There's always a reason. If that reason can effect us now, I dunno. Probably, if its been empty for as long as it seems.
