[Hey there, Enso, it's ya boy Lance. Or ya stranger Lance, he hasn't exactly been a social butterfly on account of abruptly disappearing.
But, anyways, he is here, on your rock, laying down his dulcet tones because a discover has been made.]
Sooo that new island, right? With all the nothing and the flowers? [You know the one.] Had a little search party and found a letter - or more like a diary page, really? Keith [who you might hear int he background, or you might not, we're doing it live] thinks it's pretty important.
[There's the careful rustle of paper, as Lance doublechecks the scroll.]
Some of the writing at the bottom got damaged, but whoever wrote this was evacuating their home - some place called Tempide - because it was being swallowed by the sea? [Or it was something else that had the side-effect of raising sea levels.] Or collapsing, which they say had happened before.
They ended up at a temple which - might be somewhere on this island? We found this at a dock.
[There's a brief pause, because what do you really...say when you're dealing with something like this?]
There's more, but I don't really know what it means. But somebody else might find something that explains more.

[...He doesn't like any of this. He wants to take everyone and run far from here then come back and investigate himself. But no one will go for that and they need speed. It causes a pause in his talking.]
I can also confirm I heard that last line before. [He breathes out slowly.] Anyway, so whatever got these people had stages to it. And fire didn't help but this Fluro did.
Except it was killing them too. ...I wonder if the robot...care takers were really immune. Or it's been that long since this happened.

[The Knight could show him where the message board was and Keith has a very good point. There was no guarantee this device would remain as it is or something could happen to Grimm and it would be lost. This stone does not record, or as far as the Troupe Master is aware.]
I am currently learning about the origin of that line from someone else. It is quite...unwelcoming.
[To say the least.]
I will keep my flames to myself if it will not help. But as for this "Fluro" perhaps these people were forced to such desperate actions, taking a cure that was causing them harm as well?
[That is the only reason Grimm could think of. To be pushed into a corner and face a slower death rather then what was approaching them...]

Flames might help keep it at bay for short durations. I wouldn't rule it out but it won't be a cure. The caretakers might have found something to lead to a cure or might not have. It wouldn't hurt to check if they did. Even if it's too late for the people who died here. This might come up again.
Who am I speaking to? I'm Keith.

[He does not meant to be a...ah, "Debbie-downer", but Grimm knew the voices of the fading. Those who lived in dead and dying kingdoms, those who know all that is left is time before the end came.]
Ah, forgive my rudeness. I am Grimm. It is a pleasure to meet you Keith, despite the circumstances.

This was supposed to be a place we could get ores to work with. I'm not optimistic either but it is still early in our explorations. Anyway, I'll keep updating people on what we find out.
