[Hey there, Enso, it's ya boy Lance. Or ya stranger Lance, he hasn't exactly been a social butterfly on account of abruptly disappearing.
But, anyways, he is here, on your rock, laying down his dulcet tones because a discover has been made.]
Sooo that new island, right? With all the nothing and the flowers? [You know the one.] Had a little search party and found a letter - or more like a diary page, really? Keith [who you might hear int he background, or you might not, we're doing it live] thinks it's pretty important.
[There's the careful rustle of paper, as Lance doublechecks the scroll.]
Some of the writing at the bottom got damaged, but whoever wrote this was evacuating their home - some place called Tempide - because it was being swallowed by the sea? [Or it was something else that had the side-effect of raising sea levels.] Or collapsing, which they say had happened before.
They ended up at a temple which - might be somewhere on this island? We found this at a dock.
[There's a brief pause, because what do you really...say when you're dealing with something like this?]
There's more, but I don't really know what it means. But somebody else might find something that explains more.

[Muffet can certainly accept polite disagreement- that's just the nature of business, after all. And having differing opinions means that they're more likely to spot the flaws in each other's plans, which is only to the good.]
I've done some preliminary scouting, but no major exploration yet.

[He sounds a little embarrassed by this, by not being out there already. Muffet’s probably seen his arm wrapped up at Denny. Hell, maybe Muffet helped patch it up in the first place, I still haven’t found a healer about that.]
Can you describe the island to me?

From what little I've seen of it so far? Covered in flowers and eerily silent. There's plant growth everywhere, but no animal life at all, not even insects. And the placement of the flowers seems too... even and regulated, to be quite natural. Though it's not laid out much like a garden, either, to my eyes.
I wasn't in the first few search parties, so all I've seen is what they didn't take back with them, but the metal the Storyteller mentioned being here seems to be largely in the form of discarded tools and broken robots. All the robots seem to have flowers growing out of them.

….. there has to be something there. The forest around Bliss was silent- if there’re no animals something must have gotten them, and left the plants.
[More thoughtful silence. I failed a roll on Connor’s post, but he gets to do some Deducting here. And so, eventually, he offers-]
-did the flowers look like they were localised over specific areas? As in, perhaps they grew from single sources, like the robots?

[His understanding of robots is not very extensive… he, like, read about them once.]
Someone or something dispersing seeds in those clusters seems like the likeliest explanation, or that these flowers are that unusual.

It's not impossible, certainly- but it would be rather odd for most kinds of seeds to try taking root in a metal container instead of in the ground somewhere. So it would either be something unusual about the flowers, something unusual about the robots, or someone planting them inside the robots deliberately.

Hopefully we'll find more to work with, soon.
["Before something else finds us first", she doesn't say, but she suspects that Laurent will get the implication regardless.]
wrapping!
Let the rest of us know if there's any trouble.
