[Kravitz very rarely makes himself known on the network, but this is one of those things he feels is Important in a way he can't ignore. It's not that he's looking for pity- rather, he just needs to inform people. There's no tragedy in passing. There's no fear in something he can't reach.

He wishes he could believe that anymore.]

Hello, uhm-- this is Kravitz. For those who may be looking for them, it seems Lup, Taako, and Ren have all departed from the island. My apologies to those who used their services or... simply knew them. I'm not able to carry on the magic they did, but I'll do my best in providing what you need if you were getting some kind of service or items from their store.

[He takes a breath, but it's shaky, and forces any other uncertainty out of his tone.]

I'd also like to remind everyone that we do have a library here containing many resources and a workspace for study. Contributions are always welcome, and I have a number of archived pieces from other islands for study as well. Feel free to contact me if I am not around and I will come to assist.

I'm-- I'm glad, in that case. I had thought to reach out to you to inquire about possibly taking him. Not that he has not been lovely, but I have a... lot to handle as it is.

[He doesn't know how to even handle Pepper being around right now, least of all a cat.]

I'd, uhm, like to come by and visit sometime though. If that's alright.

[ His tone grows a bit somber, now that he's fully absorbing the info and realizing that he will likely not see Ren-chan again. ]

Uh, sure. I don't get many guests in my cottage... [ Like, none at all, actually. ] So you're welcome to come here and pet the kitty if you want!

Thank you. I promise not to trouble you much, just uhm-- I mean, I have much to settle as it is, but. I'm sure I will be by at some point. They have been quite a good companion.

[I'm sorry Jyushi, he's not much of a visitor. More a mopey man who will sit on the ground and pet a cat in silence while on the verge of tears, y'know. How you do.]

Eh, you're not gonna trouble me at all! I like having guests! I feel a bit lonely here sometimes!

So if you wanna come over now, just do it!

I-- uhm-- now?

[wait,,,, people? Inviting? Oh god he can't be rude how does he navigate this.]

I, I don't need to come over now, that's alright. I'm sure it's quite short notice for you. Besides, I've, uh... I'm busy. Right. With the library.

[Good job, ya wreck.]

Library? You've got a library here?

[ He can't believe! But well, a library wouldn't be the first thing he'd look for while first exploring a desert island... or the second, third, twelth... you get it. ]

If you can't come then...! I could get there with ESP Kitty! Are cats allowed?

Uhm. I. I don't see why not.

[Why are cats not allowed in libraries anyway? Kravitz is of the opinion that every place would be improved with cats, but he also cares little for things like "allergies" and "getting scratched".]

It's, uh-- we're by the Denny? Just, just if you want though.

Yeah of course I wanna! I wouldn't suggest it otherwise! I love Denny!

[ That's not the point, but Jyushimatsu doesn't care about POINTS. At least the bad news about Ren are now slowly shifting to the back of his mind.

There are noisy sounds of things getting shuffled around, a random thud, Jyushimatsu chanting "come here buddy", and the soft meows of a cat. ]

Okay! I'm coming over! See you there!

[Kravitz is quickly losing the thread of this conversation, which honestly for him is a better option than most. He's confused most of the time and it's the only thing that stops him from being so damn serious all the time.]

Ah-- alright. No rush, I-- be safe.

[He's already at the library, so there's no need for him to move, just continue sitting where he is with a new concern about what kind of storm Jyushimatsu might bring into this place.]

[ The storm is moderate, and it's all thanks to ESP Kitty who's a good cat and doesn't really deserve being juggled in Jyushimatsu's arms as he made his way to the library.

So now he's here, trotting happily as he barely spares a glance towards the collection of books around him. He waves at Kravitz when he sees him, ESP's loud meow following. ]

Hey! [ He speaks in a volume not usually acceptable in a library. ] We're here as I promised! What's up?

[For a moment, the loud voice and the meowing of ESP makes him think Ren has made her way back inside, but his memories catch up quickly to dash any false hope. He can't focus on that now. Kravitz stands almost on reflex when he enters as if he's about to wrangle a farm animal, but he tries to offer Jyushi a smile anyway. It comes off a little more pained than he'd like.]

Hello, I, uh-- hello. There aren't other guests at the moment, but if they do enter please keep the noise to a... minimum.

[He knows too much to think he can make the other man quiet. This is Ren Training at work here, accepting he is Not going to get his ideal and instead mitigating the damage with what he can control.]

I hope the trip was not difficult for you.

[He says as he starts beelining right for cat cat cat cat. Kravitz is not subtle.]

[ Libraries are all like that. Silent, empty... a bit boring, if he has to be honest. Though he doesn't prefer complete chaos either, Jyushimatsu wouldn't like sitting here for hours only listening to his own thoughts as he reads words on paper. Just... not his thing. He'll respect Kravitz for having this job. But it's still kinda boring.

He wonders how many guests even come here at all, but he shrugs that off for now. ]

Okay! [ His voice is... loud, and it echoes in the library, and he's awful. ]

It wasn't that bad? I would've come faster, but with ESP Kitty I wanted to be careful!

[ See, it's much easier to be softer with animals! The issue comes when he's with fellow humans. ]

[Sometimes boring is good! What's bad about getting to a quiet place and just using your brain for hours on end?? It's amazing, in Kravitz' opinion. Kravitz is also a nerd, and this is beyond obvious by now. At least he can ignore various items that are less than ideal to give ESP Kitty some attention, running his palm over the cat's head to then cup his chin and deliver Those Good Scritchies. Makes it almost feel like home.

Thankfully Kravitz isn't so low on social skills that he'd stop talking as soon as he sees or touches a cat, so he does respond, albiet after a moment's pause to smile at the cat in their presence.]

Right, right, I-- I appreciate your caution. I would be concerned with the transport, but knowing he's been living with Ren for many months... well, she was loving, but not the best at being gentle. I'm certain this little one can take anything you can dish out-- I mean, seeing as they were part of your family before ours.

[ Aww yiss they're very good scritches. Not as awesome as Ichimatsu's, but ESP Kitty never ever says no to any form of cuddling, so Kravitz will hear the boy purr, loud enough thanks to the library's silent atmosphere. ]

Eh? Ren-chan wasn't a gentle one?

[ That's news to him. All he caught is that she tends to think people are cats, but she seemed like a very nice and soft girl.

He chuckles at the last part. ]

Ichimatsu-niisan spoiled him a bit much, though. I can't be good like him with cats, but I wanna try! ESP Kitty is one of our family after all!

Ren is... exuberant. I don't think she would have hurt him intentionally, just... getting too excited, sometimes.

[We don't hug cats like stuffed animals and there's a reason for that. At least he has nice cuddles to hold him over while he talks.]

Why couldn't you be good with cats, though? I'm sure you could learn. It's just about letting them set the boundaries and respecting what they want. I'm sure you could if you put your mind to it.

Oh! ... I can relate to that, to a certain point. Haha!

[ But then again he won't squeeze cats like plushies and that's because Ichimatsu taught him better. He's now a gentle enough man to animals (but never to humans, ever).

Speaking of which... ]

Well, I mean...! I know a lot of things but Ichimatsu-niisan is still better than me at this whole thing! But that's because he's a bit of a cat, too!

[ He literally turns into one. ]
