[He really should have been prepared for her to blaze her own trail on this one, considering the subject, but it's still a surprise, earning delighted laughter.]

That's-- A little on the nose, but you're not wrong. But see, what if you want to tell the joke to someone who doesn't know Taako? Sounds crazy, but you gotta be prepared for every eventuality, right?

[Come to think of it, her version is way better. But it's too late, he's already committed.]

[He might be able to pick up on the clap, clap, clap that comes over the iStone and probably from three feet away.

Like, she's proud of him, and kind of gets the joke, even if it doesn't land 100%. Nothing really will, to be honest. Is it breakfast time yet?

[Did she get it? Would Ren have clapped with polite enthusiasm if he had just blown raspberries into the stone for thirty seconds instead? Does it even matter.

Of course, Ren being Ren, he approaches this question with caution. The answer may not make sense. It might blow his mind clean off. Either way he probably can't possibly come up with it on his own, as much as his goof proprioception wants him to try.]

[The dead silence isn't because she's trying to refer to the previous jokes she's heard, trying to remember punchlines from earlier answers that will make no sense in context. But nothing ever will, really. He should just resign to that fact now. It's all for comedic effect. She planned this, obviously.

[He laughs, a little helplessly, face in his hand. If it were Lup or Magnus, he'd be calling her names for making him crack up at something so dumb, but really, he's the dumb one here for not seeing that coming. To be honest, he didn't think she would be able to get the word 'was' in there, but then she shouldn't be able to get his name in there either.]

That hungry, huh? How 'bout I don't call you late to lunch, then? [Next lesson: rimshot sound effect.]

[That lesson needs to be now because she sounds distressed at the thought of being late to lunch. It's right after her goblin wandering and she's hungry in the afternoon.]

Don't call late-I run home really fast every day, but I can't run faster than that.
