How is synthetic life treated in your universe of origin?

In my world, I don't think we really consider synthetic life a possibility. There are robots and artificial intelligence but many might not think of such things as life.

(Admittedly, from Legion's perspective, not creating synthetics because it seems like a bad idea is far better than creating them only as tools, or abusing them.

But there is overlap between those who do not believe they should be created and those who believe they are abominations that must be destroyed.

I can't say it's a topic I have put much thought into. Some may say one should not create life by other means than normal conception. But haven't we already gone beyond that?

I feel as if I don't have the right experience to answer. In my world, who knows if it's truly a possibility at all?

[Maybe that's a little personal but then do robots have a limit on that? Something being too personal to share seems like a human only sort of situation. ]

(Depends on the robot. Legion has very few things that they would consider a little too personal for casual discussion, and even that's unusual: Geth share everything and have little understanding of individuality or privacy.)

We do not. However, multiple individuals have reported mistreatment of synthetics in their universe of origin, and those we have encountered here have showed signs of mistreatment that corroborate this.

I would assume many would be of the opinion that life of your kind must not own emotions. That you've been created for a use and that is all you must do.

Affirmative. Alternately, we are blamed for the purposes organics choose for us, regardless of whether we ourselves choose to fulfill them.
