stones of farspeech (12 jan)
(While her companions may be comfortable addressing the network as a whole, Yasha has never put out this kind of call before. She's a little hesitant in her speech, and it definitely sounds like she went over what she was going to say before she picked up her stone of farspeech to do it for real. She's doing her best.)
... Hello.
I wanted to ask something about gardening.
Where do I find dirt? There is a lot of sand around, but I cannot find dirt. I would like to have a lot of it.
Thank you.
(There's the sound of muffled fumbling with the stone, and then another, faint addition right before she finds the off button:)

(She's thought about having a garden before. Yasha is sure that she'd like the work, would enjoy planting and weeding and watering, but she moves around too much for one to be a reality. If they're going to be stuck here, she's going to make the most of the time.)

[ Nice, but it also worries him that they'll become complacent here. Keep on surviving and building and not finding a way home. ]

I'm not going to stop trying to leave, (she says, after a beat.) There are so many hours in the day, Molly, Iā want to try something I can't do at home.

...you're right. That's fair.
[ He pauses for a moment. ]
Think we can find some snapdragons?

(In fact, she will keep an eye out, now that he's asked.)
... I suppose after I get the dirt I do have to find somewhere to get plants.

[ ...and the seeds, somehow. ]

(She's touched by that, just as she always is whenever he brings her something to put in her book.)
I... want to make something beautiful, for her. (It could be like a monument of sorts; a living grave marker that her Zuala never got.)

[ There's always a little bit of an ache in his heart to hear her talk about Zuala. She's lost so much, his kind angel.
He only hopes the Mighty Nein can fill some of that. ]
I'm sure she'd love it.
[ Because she loved Yasha. ]

(Zuala was in the same boat as her, having never seen such beautiful flowers, but Yasha is sure that she would have liked them just as much. For one thing, she certainly liked anything that made Yasha happy, so...)
I'm excited, to get started.

(She's starting to realise that she's going to need some way to transport all of the dirt she would like.)
Bring a... sack.
no subject
[ Maybe. Or he'll just tie a blanket together. ]

You're the best.

[ You can hear the wink. ]

(She cannot do winks as well, or as jauntily, but she is attempting one on the end nevertheless.)
See you soon.
