Line of sight would do. I could try leaving some threads where he might walk into them if even that would be too close, but I'd rather not take the risk of having someone else end up snared if we can avoid it.

Without feeding, the final result is always a complete loss of control, until we do feed. [Or starve, but anyway.]

I... can't be sure how long it will take. Normally, it would take... two months or so to lose ourselves, but it seems to be hitting harder than usual.

Okay, well - before ending up here, Ed and I were trapped in another world. A deity there was pulling people in from different places and changing them, physically and mentally.

The worst of the changes was that, every so often, we... were forced to eat people. Humans, or others that had been changed like we had. If we didn't feed, we would keep getting hungrier until we lost ourselves entirely. The Storyteller put sigils on us to keep it suppressed, but we need the mana pools to recharge them. Now that we can't do that, it seems like Ed's been hit pretty hard right away.
