Farspeach stones 05/10

Hello it's Shion. [The stones now show peoples names on them so he perhaps doesn't have to say that but he's not sure if it works like that when he speaks to everyone so it's best to introduce himself.]

I am planning to harvest the cotton field that is in the West of Nuidan, in the part that is always Summer. Does anyone want to help? It's quite a big job from what I can gather. [He's spent a few days studying the field, planning the best way to do things.] I guess let me know if you want to or you can meet me at at Harv's temple tomorrow at first light, that seems like a good time to start.

Also I think I've figured out how to harvest it but if anyone... Actually knows how to properly some advice would be really welcome.


((OOC: This is mostly an IC way to set up a group to claim the task, if you want in on this but don't want to/don't have time to reply to this post just PM me or plurk me damua. My plan is to put in for the task on Sunday!))

Cotton picking? Sounds pretty peaceful, as long as the cotton doesn't combine to form some sort of super cotton mecha to kill us all.

I wouldn't mind helping out for a while!

I really hope that doesn't happen.

[This place is better than the tower in that not everything is most likely going to kill them. But he still wouldn't be surprised if cotton picking did turn deadly.]

I'd be glad for the help though.

I feel like every time we seem to get a break something happens. But... Let's hope!

That's just the way things are. [Here and in the the Tower. Here the quiet periods last longer. Often it can be a couple of months between truly awful things.]

I thought tomorrow morning would be a good time to start.

I can't offer advice, but I'd like to help if you still need more hands. It can't be too difficult, right?

I don't think it's very complicated though it will probably be hard work. [Hard work is one of the few things Shion is not afraid of.] I'd be happy for the help.

I can manage hard work. After some of the others things that have gone on, I think I prefer this kind of challenge.

[She regrets alluding to the flowers even as she's talking but finishes the thought nonetheless, sighing.]

[He agrees, physical hard work is a lot better than... everything else that challenges them.] It is definitely preferable. And I figure if there are a few of us it won't feel too difficult at all.

[Hard work shared with friends is always better after all.]

How big is the field?

It won't bother anyone. [There's a flicker of anger in Shion's voice, the idea of anyone pushing Dagger away, making him more convinced that he was a terrible person, it made him angry. He took a moment to breathe.] The fields are quite large and your help will be very welcome.

Oh... Um, if you need help I, I could help. How big is it...? I haven't really - looked at it before. Or, or been around that area much, I mean.

You would be welcome. [He sort of recognises the voice, he glances down at the rock. Evan, Shion remembered him.] The fields are quite large, I guess that's normal for a cotton field but I'd never seen one before so I don't really have a comparison.

[ Lucas is built like a spaghetti noodle and not great at physical labour, but... hell, he owes Shion a lot, and he's willing to try! ]

Have you explored much of Nuidan, Lucas?
