I've found a crate full of an interesting substance. However I'm more interested in the written documents people have found.

It's simply easier to find things intact when they were already inside something else.

It adds further evidence that this place might have been for containing something. Like we were contained.

We need to know more for me to be sure. But we shouldn't overlook even the smallest of details.

And you're right the entries we find will tell us more. They might even answer that.

I was using us as an example. All this boils down to is we know this island was used for something before the containment. And a containment likely did happen.

Whether the supplies were sent before or after...that's not yet clear.

I imagine both. It's not uncommon to reuse a place as something else when the need arises.
