Canon Abilities: Extremely strong spiritual powers, which comes with the ability to see and speak with spirits. She also has a special ability that, when using the camera obscura, allows her to temporarily slow time for a few seconds.

Able to see a person’s thoughts, emotions, and delves into their memories with a touch. She’s almost constantly aware of someone’s true feelings, thought she tends to just let it wash over her without really digging further.

Kagemi: Shadow Reading. The ability to see the secrets of objects when handling them, and involves following the "shadows" of the past, of missing things or spirited away people. For example if someone was missing a ring, having the ring box means Miu could track down and locate the ring. Having just a photo of a missing person enables Miu to track that person down. Typically she can manage to track them far enough, but if they really don't want to be found then the trail might go cold eventually or get 'fuzzy,' leaving her unable to find the person. To quote one of the memos about it: The traces will attract malevolent ghosts, so it is dangerous to spend too long gazing at them. Yet another risk lies in following the trace of a person who has already died or has been spirited away, as you may be inadvertently following them into the world of the dead.

Mitori: Glancing (mitori) in Fatal Frame V is the ability to touch a spirit at the moment of defeat and witness a vision of its last moments. This sort of ties into the above of seeing a person’s thoughts and emotions and such.

Also a very accomplished liar and actress. Quite skilled in photography as well, with quick reflexes..

1. If your character could ask for one wish, and it's going to be magically granted without any consequence, what will it be and why?
She'd ask to speak to her mother. This is the one goal Miu has been chasing since the start of her canon and it's the only thing she's ever actually wished for herself. Normally Miu plays along with others, dancing to their tunes without a thought for herself. She considers herself empty, a doll, doing whatever people tell her to do no matter what it is because she just doesn't care about herself enough to protest--except when it comes to her mother. Miu drops everything in her life to chase down a rumor on her, so without hesitation she'd ask to speak to her mother and get answers.

2. If there's one person your character would follow to another realm, who would it be and why? If there's no one, state that and explain why.
Her mother, again. She does this almost literally in canon chasing her mother up to Mt. Hikami, getting spirited away in the process and locked up in a box as a sacrifice for who knows how long before Yuri comes along and rescues her. Even after that, Miu continues to go up on the mountain, knowing the danger, to follow her mother into the in-between area of the land of the living and the land of the dead to have a conversation with her. If her mother is involved, Miu will throw herself through the open doorway and deal with the consequences later.

3. If you'd like pixies to change one event in your character's life, what would it be and why?
In Fatal Frame 3, Miu's mother Miku lives with a woman named Rei who is more or less her best friend. They live together, work together, and are very close to each other. Rei has sixth sense abilities too and knows about Miku's struggles. However, come Fatal Frame 5, it's revealed than after getting pregnant, Miku just...ran off? And when Miu was 3 years old, Miku left her on the doorstep of her "best friend" despite this woman never being mentioned before. This woman doesn't even have supernatural abilities and therefore was no help when Miu's powers manifested.

So in essence: I'd be super interested in the change being Miku leaving Miu with *Rei* as opposed to this random supposed other friend. At least Rei would believe Miu when she starts seeing ghosts and could see them herself! Miu might not have grown up so utterly jaded and mean that way.

4.
4. Your character gets to return home, but when they do they learn that they've been gone for hundreds of years. How do they react?

Piiisssed. She'd be SO angry, especially since it'd mean that A. she has likely no chance to talk to her mother/mother's spirit now (or at least it'll be way harder to get her spirit to talk to) and B. she'd have to start from scratch with building up her fame and popularity all over again. Not to mention all of the legal nonsense of having to get new IDs and papers and all and trying to explain she's been mysteriously gone for 100 years or so. She'd be very irritated by all the inconvenience this would cause her in general.
