[3 stories for bookshelves and waterproof book protectors. What I'm imagining is something like this but I don't think Laurent will be specifying, he will only insist that whatever they get has to be able to protect the book from humidity and rats and all that.

A library is not much of a library if it has no books.

It would be nice to have some books. But truthfully that area is bad for a library. Too damp. Must it be there?

Books mold over in damp places, we will need to find ways to keep the room dry. And ways to keep out all the rats and insects and other riffraff.

[ A Library! Starflight could have jumped for joy, until reading the inventory that is. ]

Anything on the local floral and fauna would be extremely helpful, especially what sorts of dangers there are to avoid. Medicinal plants would be a good topic, too, not to mention farming or agriculture and I guess anything on raising prey animals. Do you have any maps, or can you get some? Those would be pretty useful. Also I personally would find books on scavengers really helpful.

[ He could keep going, honestly, but being new he feels he should probably not overstep. He also fails to clarify that when he says "scavenger" he means humans. Woops. ]

Also, if you need any help getting the library in order, organizing, writing things, making a catalog, or anything really I would love to help!

[Yeah, humidity is a pain in the tailbone. Even moreso here, where mold actually grows and there are bugs and other wildlife that aren't alebrijes. Blech.]

Could ask for plastic bags to keep the books in. Since we're already using stories. Seems like the easiest way.

[ Oh. Maybe they are called something else here? He's never had to explain what a scavenger is, especially with so many around. ]

Scavengers are sort of like monkeys, but bigger and they only have fur on their heads and they are always stealing treasure. Usually they can't talk and there are not many of them but here they can and there are a lot of them. I just felt like it would be useful to have more information on them, considering, but maybe that would just be useful to me so I guess actually it is not that important.

I'm happy to help in the library however I can, just let me know what I can do.

agreed that any medical information would be useful. there are a lot of kids here, so we should probably get some books for them, too.

i can provide stories, and help with recording and organizing information.
